Improving privacy and usability for conversational templates resolved critical concerns for Yalo Flow Builder users.
Flow Builder’s template library provides users with pre-designed conversational flows to streamline the creation of engaging experiences. However, users raised significant concerns about the lack of privacy options, as all templates created by their own were public by default. This created challenges for businesses handling sensitive information. Additionally, the interface was cumbersome, with no clear distinctions between templates, leading to inefficiencies and frustration.
The situation became critical when a major client significantly increased the use of the “duplicate flow” feature to create private variations of their templates. This spike not only revealed the need for better privacy features but also caused platform overload. Yalo conducted interviews with users to identify root causes and validated the demand for a secure, streamlined solution.
The result was the development of a private template feature, allowing users to mark templates as private for personal or company-level access. Usability testing refined the interface, and the feature was launched with onboarding materials to ensure smooth adoption.
