Modernizing a legacy ERP system ensured better usability and efficiency for construction retail clients.

Linx’s ERP system was designed for enterprise use but adapted as a SaaS product for construction retail clients. However, its outdated design and inefficient workflows created challenges, especially for users in fast-paced environments. User interviews and data from tools like Hotjar revealed users often made ten times more clicks than necessary to complete tasks. Clients such as Saint-Gobain and Yamamura highlighted issues like misplaced buttons, unclear field labels, and the lack of helpful visuals, such as product images.

The transformation of Linx ERP into Linx UX underscores the power of user-centered design in modernizing legacy systems.

The redesign, branded as Linx UX, reduced clicks and improved efficiency. By solving usability issues and incorporating user feedback, Linx UX became a modern tool tailored to construction retail needs, strengthening client relationships and showcasing Linx’s focus on innovation.
